Motherboard and CPU Block Temperature comparison at IDLE and FULL LOAD. (Linpack) Screenshots included.
FIRST:
Idle and load temp, Linpack used, HT off. with original MCW-NBMAX NB block.
Idle
Only 5 Min in, NB/SB temps rise fast.
Max CPU temps after 1Hr Linkpack HT off.
SECOND:
NOW The Same tests with the EK-FB-RE3.
IDLE
Much Better NB/SB Temps with EK full block. Considerably lower!
This is also 20 Minutes in, compared to 5min in with the Swiftech block.
Full Load 1 Hr Linpack HT off, Max CPU temps:
Pretty much even cpu temps at full load between the 2 blocks;
although the CPU idles minimally (less than 4 degrees) with the EK block vs the swiftech.
9C/15C(16.2F/27F) for NB/SB respectfully, is well worth the 2C(3.6F)idle/1.75C(3.15F)load CPU temp raise. I wouldn't honestly be worried about that since the CPU doesn't give a shit about temps until it hits 101C(213.8F) care to make a pot of tea anyone? ;)
ReplyDeleteProps on a job well done and a good build, keep it up. Now to get that CPU to 4.5 @ 1.4125v 24/7 stable or try, Heh.
PS. Some of us read in Fahrenheit still. >.>
